Born of Inspiration:

Waves crash
over my chest,
pang after
pang of aching
indecision.

Questions, ideas,
murmurings, thoughts.
No peace from
longing and
toil.

The sea inside
tosses and turns
swells and falls
with each
wind.

I maneuver
my ship, my heart
to the shore
where I fly up
the hill.

At the crown
there stands erect
a wooden staff,
a rod with arms,
a cross.

I throw myself
and all my cares
at its foot,
at His feet,
at Him.

Then I know
all is well.
Peace, like a flood,
rushes in.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7
