Sacrifice

The cost of following Jesus, what is it? In Luke 9:57-62, the LORD calls for total sacrifice on our part. His desire is that nothing stand between us and total devotion to the Messiah, not bodily comfort, not family members. Nothing. He calls us to sacrifice our lives, yet what a sacrifice: death for life, poverty for riches, hatred for love, annihilation for adoption, and rot and decay for beauty and purity!
